I authored a special newsstand issue of National Geographic that comprised my original reporting on the neuroscience of perception, flavor, chronic pain, and consciousness. The issue hit newsstands in June 2022, with a second printing in 2024; it has now reached over 150,000 readers. It is no longer on newsstands, but you can still order it through print on demand.
